Den 1 januari 2011 blev Matarvattensektionen medlem i ”The International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam”, förkortat IAPWS.
Medlemskapet är gemensamt med övriga nordiska länderna via Scandinavian IAPWS (SIAPWS). Det är våra danska kollegor som har bjudit in oss och övriga nordiska länderna att tillsammans bilda SIAPWS för medlemskap i IAPWS.
